Quick Droid Builds

This guide is for building quick and easy droids of a specific degree. It is meant to reflect the specialized nature of droids and use 25D for building the droid.

Step 1: Choose A Degree
Cost: 15D

Attribute First Degree Second Degree Third Degree Fourth Degree Fifth Degree
Dexterity 2D 2D 2D 4D 2D
Knowledge 3D 2D 4D 2D 1D
Mechanical 2D 3D 2D 2D 2D
Perception 3D 2D 3D 2D 1D
Strength 1D 1D 1D 3D 4D

Extra Dice +1D to Knowledge or Technical +1D to Mechanical or Technical; +1D to any one other +1D to any one except Knowledge +1 to Knowledge, Mechanical, or Perception +1D to Knowledge or Perception; +1D to any one except Strength

Step 2: Choose Skills
Droids spend their remaining 10D on skills with the following rules:

  1. Specialized: Droids are, by their nature (or make), extremely specialized in their manufacture. When a Droid character is generated by this method, 1D (no more) may be placed in any skills based on the attribute in which the droid has 4D (choose one in case the droid has 4D in more than one attribute), for which the character receives 2D of ability. If the character wishes to have more than 2D in those skills then the skill costs are normal from there on.
  2. Programmed Potential: Droids invest up to 6D in a single skill during creation. This skill must be from the attribute the droid has 4D in (this must the same attribute chosen in the previous section in case of a tie).
  3. Droids: During creation, droids may invest points into Advanced Skills without meeting the requirements for organic characters.
  4. Limitations: During creation, droids may not split skill dice into pips. They must invest whole dice. During creation, droids may not invest dice into skills based on any attribute that is 1D.

Step 3: Movement
Choose One:
Wheels – 15
Legs – 10
Treads – 7
Repulsorlift – 5

Step 4: Equipment
Droids are assumed to start with all of the equipment necessary to carry out their basic function. Fourth degree droids begin play with any one of the following weapons (unmoified): blaster pistol (4D), blaster carbine (5D), blaster rifle (5D), vibro-ax (STR+2D), or vibroblade (STR +1D)
Droid characters begin play with 2D x 200 credits to spend on additional equipment.
